In the ever-evolving landscape of modern transportation infrastructure, Western Europe stands at the forefront of innovation, continuously striving to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of its vast network of tunnels. At SABS, our software engineers developed a technology that changes the game for safety and traffic flow.
The software solution was developed for one of our corporate clients headquartered in Western Europe. The application has a real-time notification system that allows the collaboration of managing agents. Incidents and malfunctions of the civil constructions (tunnels and aqueducts) are reported into the system, and the managing agents set up maintenance activities for the civil constructions.
For example, an accident has occurred in a tunnel due to low visibility and poor weather conditions. The user on duty selects the affected tunnel and reports the incident. She then creates a work permit and assigns it to external workers, provides work safety recommendations (face mask, etc.), and proposes traffic measures that should be taken to ensure the safety of the drivers and passengers that travel through the affected tunnel.
Currently, the software solution developed by SABS is used to monitor up to 10 civil constructions (tunnels and aqueducts), which sum up more than 7500 m. The application is accessed by thousands of users.
The software and data can only be entered after a login. Users have been assigned certain roles and can access pages or actions depending on the assigned role.
